These terms apply to all window cleaning, conservatory cleaning, soffit and fascia cleaning, gutter clearance and other exterior cleaning services provided by Clean & Cut Manchester (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer. By booking a clean or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Quotes
- Quotes are free and based on the information you give us and, where possible, a look at the property.
- A quote is valid for 30 days unless we tell you otherwise.
- If the job turns out to be significantly different from what was described – for example the property is much dirtier than would be expected for a maintenance clean, or there are extra windows or areas – we will discuss and agree any change in price with you before carrying out the work.
2. Booking and regular cleans
- We offer 4-weekly, 8-weekly and one-off (ad-hoc) cleans. Regular cleans continue on the agreed schedule until either of us cancels.
- We will normally send a reminder the day before your clean and confirm once the work has been completed.
- Visit dates are a guide. We may need to move a visit because of weather, illness, equipment problems or other circumstances outside our control, and we will let you know as soon as we can.
- We may clean in light rain, as purified water leaves a spot-free finish. We will reschedule if conditions are unsafe, such as high winds, ice or lightning.
3. Access
- You do not need to be at home, but we do need safe access to the areas being cleaned. Please make sure side gates are unlocked, pets are kept inside and any obstructions are moved before your visit.
- If we cannot gain access on the day, we may charge a call-out fee or the full price of the clean. We will tell you if this applies.
- For water-fed pole cleaning we may need access to an outside tap or a suitable place to park our van close to the property.
4. Prices and payment
- Payment is due on completion of each clean unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- We accept bank transfer and other payment methods we tell you about when you book. We will send payment details with your completion message or invoice.
- If payment is more than 14 days late, we may pause any regular service until the account is settled.
- We may review our prices from time to time. We will give regular customers at least 14 days’ notice of any change.
- Discount codes and offers cannot be combined unless we say otherwise and must be mentioned at the time of booking.
5. Cancellations
- You can cancel a booked visit or stop a regular service at any time by contacting us. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice before a booked visit.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or once we have arrived, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to the full price of the clean.
- If you booked a one-off service more than 14 days in advance, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you ask us to start the work within that period and then cancel, you will pay for any work already carried out.
- We may stop providing a service if we cannot work safely at the property, or if payments are repeatedly missed.
6. Our standard of work
- We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, using suitable equipment and purified water.
- If you are not happy with any part of a clean, please let us know within 48 hours of the visit and we will return to put it right free of charge.
- Some marks cannot be removed by cleaning alone, such as scratches, hard-water staining, paint, cement, sealant or damage inside sealed double glazing. We will point these out where we notice them.
7. Damage and liability
- We hold public liability insurance. If you believe we have caused damage to your property, please tell us within 48 hours of the visit, with photos if possible, so we can look into it.
- We are not responsible for damage caused by existing defects or wear, such as loose or perished seals, rotten frames, faulty window fittings, cracked glass, loose gutters or brittle fascias, or for items left in the areas being cleaned.
- Gutter clearance removes debris that can be reached safely from the ground with our vacuum equipment. We cannot guarantee gutters or downpipes will remain clear, or repair existing leaks or faults, but we will let you know about any problems we find.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Photos
We may take before and after photos of the exterior of your property to record our work. We will only use them in our marketing with your permission, and never in a way that identifies you or your address. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
9. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. Changes will not affect work that has already been carried out.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
